CIBC, Sympatico launch Web bank

Sympatico-Lycos Inc. has formed a partnership with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, which is Canada's third-largest bank, to establish Internet-based banking services. The new Web bank, which is called Amicus Financial, is being developed through CIBC's electronic banking division.
