Canada Post deal could be landmark, experts, unions say

Canada Post Corp. has agreed to a new labor contract with its worker, avoiding a major strike. Canada Post, which agreed to a new 4-year contract that will cover the company?s 48,000 workers, offered a 3% annual wage hike for union members.

Bank of Canada appoints Jenkins

Industry analysts said that Canadian economists applauded the appointment of Paul Jenkins at the Bank of Canada. Mr. Jenkins, who became the senior deputy governor of the central bank, has worked there for over three decades.
