Cellphone makers getting gadget happy

Article Abstract:

Nokia Corp.'s N-Gage, which is a cellphone game console, was one of Nokia's early attempt to make handsets more than mere phones and despite the negative response of critics and lackluster sales of the N-gage, Nokia is not planning to give up the idea of merging various consumer electronic devices with cellphones. The main reason to add all the extra features in a cell phone is to gain an edge over the competitors in the market and to convince the consumers to pay more for a handset.
