Charity bank idea has currency

Article Abstract:

Aaron Pereira, a 23-year-old, is set to start a federally regulated financial institution for charities called the Community Bank in Canada with the help of a team including people from J.W. McConnell Foundation, Ontario Securities Commission, and Economic Council of Canada. The group plans to partner with traditional banks to develop a network of branches and is initially not targeting public depositors.

Court ruling weakens privacy of e-mailing

Toronto, Ont.-based Loblaw Companies Inc. has been plagued by a massive violation of its employees' privacy. An investigation is underway to determine how the salary information of senior managers has been compromised and sent to various employees via email.
