Coke reorganizes; president resigns

Article Abstract:

Jack Stahl has stepped down as president of Coca-Cola as part of a management restructuring aimed at making the soft drink giant a nimble and flatter organization. Four new business units were also created at the company, namely, the Americas, Asia, Europe/Africa and New Business Ventures, whose heads report directly to Coca-Cola CEO Douglas Daft. The new structure left Stahl, without a function, making his position redundant.
