CrossKeys shares plunge on revenue warning

CrossKeys Systems Corp. saw its share value drop 76.5% after it forecasted lower-than-expected earnings for the quarter ending December 20, 2000. The company's earnings will be approximately one-third lower than what analysts had predicted.

Entrust shares lose $2-billion

Article Abstract:

After announcing lowered profit expectations, Entrust Technologies Inc. saw a $2.1-billion loss in market value. Since the announcement followed similar bad news from Computer Associates International Inc. and BMC Software Inc., the Nasdaq Stock Market dropped 3.23 per cent.

Corel's quarterly revenue sinks on fall in flagship product sales

Article Abstract:

Ottawa, Ont.-based Corel Corp., a leading software maker, has reported revenues of $36.6 million for the second quarter ended May 31, 2000 compared to $70.5 million for the same period a year earlier. Corel, which blamed its declining revenues on poor sales of two flagship products, also reported an operating loss of $23.3 million during the second quarter.
