Europeans embrace biofuels

Article Abstract:

Europeans already are accepting ethanol and biodiesel as mainstays at the gas pump, and the popularity of agriculture-based fuels is forcing European Union (EU) members increasingly to look abroad to satisfy demand for both raw material and finished products. Concerns about possible supply disruptions and Kyoto Protocol mandates to reduce green-house gas emissions have prompted the European governments to seek a clean-burning alternative that could provide some measure of energy security.
