Mark Nathanson donated $3 million to York University in Toronto, Ontario, so that the university could establish the Jack and Mae Nathanson Centre for the Study of Organized Crime and Corruption. This sets a dangerous precedent for colleges, making them dependent on wealthy benefactors.
