Daimler Weighs Plant in China For Imports to U.S

Dr. Reudiger Grube, executive vice president of DaimlerChrysler AG, announced that the company is considering building an automobile plant in China. Hourly wages and benefits paid to auto workers in China are the equivalent of 1.5 euros, compared with 38 euros in Europe, 28 euros in the United States, and 4.5 euros in Brazil.
