Dell hurt by diminished investor confidence

On December 1st 2000, the stock price of Dell Computer Corp. slumped to $18.06 (U.S.), a 52-week low. Analysts say Dell is largely suffering from a general slowdown in the PC making sector, where many fear a price war is looming.
