It's not easy being green, so carmakers unite

Article Abstract:

A number of carmakers are uniting together to produce vehicles that run on something other than gasoline. For instance, General Motors and Toyota Motor announced the formation of a five-year partnership that will try to look on everything from electric cars to batteries and motors. According to GM Vice Chairman Harry Pearce, carmakers are uniting because of the realization that it is not easy to do the job alone.
