Ecology, systematic and biogeographical relationships of dinosaurs, including a new theropod, from the Santana Formation (?albian, early cretaceous) of Brazil
Article Abstract:
Dinosaurs are well preserved in calcareous nodules of the Santana Formation of the Araripe Basin, in northeastern Brazil since they are very rare. Several factors including the occurrence of intraguild predation, the possibility that small theropods could subsist in marginal environments, and reliance on coastal resources are responsible for the apparent ecological imbalance.

Maximum bite force and prey size of Tyrannosaurus rex and their relationships to the inference of feeding behavior
Article Abstract:
The theropod dinosaur Tyrannosaurus rexE s (T.rex) feeding behavior is studied with analysis of two variables which are critical to successful predation, bite force and prey body mass as scaled with size of predator. The investigations show that the herbivore Triceratops falls within the size range of potential prey to the T. rex.

Modern tropical analogs for Carboniferous standing forests: comparison of extinct Mesocalamites with extant Montrichardia
Article Abstract:
Mesocalamites suckowii, an extinct sphenopsid, is compared with Montrichardia arborescens, a present-day monocot. Although they differ taxonomically and anatomically, morphological similarities exist that can be attributed to a common ecology.
