Article Abstract:

Satellite television is gaining popularity over pay-TV in Australia. Telecommunications company Optus, forced to provide satellite distribution as a condition to enter the telecommunications market, is gearing up to distribute digital pay TV and telecommunication services such as banking. Telstra's Big Pond Cable service for Internet access has not been a success. Apple's advertising campaign for the Macintosh is coming to Australia.
