Experts Enthusiastic About Stability Control and Special Side Air Bags

Article Abstract:

Two new automobile safety features that are now available, reduce the risk of fatal injuries by as much as 35 per cent, but are standard equipment in only 21 percent of new models. Electronic stability control prevents cars from spinning out of control or rolling over, and side air bags help prevent head injuries.

U.S. Regulators Release Vehicle Rollover Data

Article Abstract:

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released data that let consumers compare rollover risk of vehicles relative to one another. The highest rollover risk was found in the 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, while the best performance was found in the Mazda RX-8 sedan.
