Feverish relations

Article Abstract:

A 1995 Maclean's/Medical Post/Angus Reid survey on Canadians' views on their health care system reveals considerable unhappiness about access to doctors. A majority of respondents are unhappy with long waits to see their doctors, and more than 60% feel that doctors require too frequent visits.

Condition critical

Article Abstract:

'Feeling the pinch.' (Canadians' confidence in their healthcare system erodes; includes related article on ethical issues in medical care)(Special Report: Radical Surgery)(Cover Story)

Article Abstract:

Results of a Maclean's/Medical Post/Angus Reid poll indicate that the number of people who rate Canadian health care as 'excellent' has declined from 25% in 1991 to 14% in 1996. The erosion of confidence in the health care system is probably due to cutbacks in funding.
