Finally, better treatment for women (and men too)

Article Abstract:

Medical researchers are discovering that men and women respond differently to medication, and tend to develop different diseases. For example, women are more likely than men to develop osteoporosis and heart-valve problems, and metabolize drugs like aspirin, acetaminophen and Valium differently. Lung cancer is the most frequent malignancy to kill women, but men are more often referred for screenings. Gender-specific biology is a growing field, and a chance for medical care to improve for both women and men.
