Most of the Canadian entrepreneurs who have moved to Phoenix, AR, cite Canada's anti-business atmosphere as the main reason for their move. Phoenix is pro-growth and many Canadians have found success in the real estate industry. They are also attracted to the weather and easy way of life.

Economic terrorism in a Moscow hotel

Article Abstract:

Ken Rowe's Halifax-based firm IMP Group spent $60 million renovating the Aerostar hotel in Moscow, Russia. The hotel was a success, but IMP's two Russia partners in the venture have harassed IMP and tried to usurp management of the hotel, despite court rulings that favor IMP.

Article Abstract:

Canadian voters responded to Jean Chretien's early election call and campaign complacency by returning the Liberals to power with only a slight majority. The voters were disappointed that Chretien did not articulate a vision for the future.
