Screwing the system

Article Abstract:

There is a growing tendency towards class action suits in Australia. While it is good in that it makes justice accessible to the masses, it also has some down sides. Parties should not be sued just because of their ability to pay. This ignores the matter of liability. The tendency to try such cases in the media builds a frenzy and increases litigation. This is to be avoided.
