Some of the contenders for the Labor leadership for the 2007 elections are discussed in brief such as Kim Beazley, Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd who have been working assiduously to build a national media profile. It is believed that if Kim Beazley loses the 2007 elections to make it the Labor Party's fifth defeat on the trot, either Julia Gillard or Kevin Rudd would be the probable winner.
