Food for thought at the pump

Article Abstract:

Petroleum company Chevron Corp has unveiled three Foodini's Fresh Meal Markets adjacent to its gas stations in Arizona and California. Foodini's, which looks like a cross between 7-Eleven and Boston Market, offers instant food that tastes good. Chevron wants Foodini's to have a separate identity from the gas stations by not placing signs that would show the two are owned by one company and by having separate training for the gas station and food service workers.

Need for speed drives cereal killer

Article Abstract:

Breakfast cereals are becoming less popular among consumers who lack the time for breakfast preparation, according to the research by NPD Group. Consumers are increasingly turning to toaster pastries, breakfast bars and bagels as more convenient substitute to cereals, toast and eggs. The declining popularity of cereals is also attributed to consumers' preference to take breakfast on the way to their work or at their office desks.
