Foot-and-mouth disease has taken hold in Great Britain in 2001, but scientists have been working for over a decade to find a cure for this contagious disease. The work of the Plum Island Animal Disease Center in the United States is discussed.

A possible war-crimes tribunal to investigate the massacres and crimes committed by the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia in the 1970s is discussed. The views of victims, former guards and the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen are presented.
