For Mighty Gillette, These Are the Faces of War

Article Abstract:

Gillette has dominated the razor blade market with a 70% share, but Schick-Wilkinson Sword Div. is going after Gillette's loyal customer base with its new four-blade shaving system, the Quattro. All of this new product activity has resulted in a Gillette lawsuit against Schick for patent infringement, while Schick has countered with a suit against Gillette for false advertising, claiming that Gillette's blades are not superior. Gillette has lost some sales to the Quattro, leading investment analysts to list Gillette stock as a hold.
