Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has responded by heavily in its public relations standoff with Wade Peer, the scrap dealer who was mistakenly sent faxes of bank customer information. Crisis management experts stated that this strategy contains risks in reassuring the public that is more likely to sympathize with a major Canadian bank already coping with challenges to its reputation.

McCain boss picks up pace of global French fry assault

McCain Foods Ltd. expects to be producing French fries in China within two years as part of a strategy to dramatically raise its presence in big undeveloped markets, according to new chief executive officer Dale Morrison. New Brunswick-based McCain is targeting Russia and India for future plants, although plans are not as advanced as in China according to Morrison.
