A growing trend in the banking industry has led its own executives to grow rather than automatically filling posts externally. Owing to low unemployment rates and ageing leaders approaching retirement, there seems to be an impending leadership shortage, and organizations are creating internal recruitment offices, grooming executives with liberal arts degrees, and encouraging potential leaders to do MBAs so that they can take up senior posts which are expected to fall vacant.

Recruitment outsourcing firm Alexander Mann Solution (AMS) has used Employee Value Preposition (EVP) method for its client in which entire organization is benchmarked as nowadays corporate branding is aimed at luring employees and reducing attrition. Organizations implying this method realize that the most cost effective high retention recruitment is internal recruitment.
