Investment banks like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers have been trying to build their businesses in China for some time. their success in China may be stalled as each of these companies are representing a different side in the proposed acquisition of Unocal Corp. by Chinese petroleum giant, Chinese National Offshore Oil Corp.
