Article Abstract:

This article examines how various sectors of the Australian economy have prepared for the so-called year 2000 computer problem (Y2K) to the point where a serious interruption of the lives of Australians appears unlikely. Sectors surveyed for Y2K preparedness include the petroleum products industry; rail, road, shipping, and aviation services; emergency services; financial institutions; retailers; and electricity, gas, water, sewerage, and telecommunications services.

Article Abstract:

Searching for a house in a certain geographical area can be a stressful and difficult challenge. However, the Internet can help by letting shoppers view home and rental classifieds and search by price and the number of rooms. In addition, many real estate agents offer databases of homes on the market. These agencies offer more than 1000 real estate agencies and provide descriptions and up to five photographs per property.
