Billionaire investor Carl C. Icahn plans to create a $3 billion hedge fund, and will commit $300 million of his own money to the venture. Investors in the fund will have to pledge $25 million for a period of three years, and will be charged fees of 2.5 percent of assets under management, plus 25 percent of net gains, after accounting for previous losses.
