Insolvent Stelco casts big profit recovery as temporary

Stelco Inc. reported a $42-million profit in the second quarter of 2004, its highest quarterly profit since 1998. However, officials warned that the profit recovery was only temporary, and the company still faced serious problems that threatened its survival.
