Irvings jockey for position: fourth generation taking reins of New Brunswick-based empire while a fifth enters the corporate fold

Article Abstract:

Two brothers of New Brunswick family who own a vast forestry, energy, media and foods empire along with their cousin Kenneth at Irving Oil Ltd. are the most prominent of half-dozen middle-aged Irvings jockeying for the position as the business passes into the fourth generation-and as the fifth generation enters the corporate fold. The first of more than two-dozen great-grandchildren of empire builder Kenneth Colin Irving also joins the business.
