King of the horn: Dizzy Gillespie revolutionized jazz

Article Abstract:

Gillespie helped create the jazz style of bebop in the 1940s with other jazz musicians, including Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk. Gillespie recorded more than 100 albums during his 50-year career. He was known for his ballooning cheeks.

Sophisticated lady: Diana Krall has got the jazz world on a string

Krall, 32, is receiving much media attention due to her new album, 'All for You.' The British Columbia native has worked hard for the recognition. Jazz great Ray Brown heard Krall sing at a restaurant when she was just 19 years old.
