Kerry Packer generously donated hundreds of millions of dollars to hospitals and their causes than any man in Australian history however he never liked to be admitted in the hospital. He was admitted at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital which was a nightmare for the doctors since Kerry tear of his monitors, tear of his oxygen and left the hospital without being properly treated.

Prime Minister John Howard had a long association with Kerry Packer dating back to 1975 and thereafter meeting occasionally. Packer's declaration that Howard would do a good job if he became Prime Minister in 1995 gave him a huge motivation where Prime Minister reminiscenced that Packer was a genuine larger than life character.
