Marchment shut down, executives suspended

Article Abstract:

Penny stock dealer Marchment and Mackay Ltd of Toronto, Ontario, has been closed by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). The registration of the stock dealer was cancelled after investigations on the Marchment's operations showed that it was basically a boiler room for selling high- risk penny stocks. Company executives were also slapped with stiff penalties by the OSC. The firm has filed for bankruptcy and is now under trusteeship of accounting firm Schwartz Levitsky Feldman Inc

Moore stock rises 10% on cost cutting

Article Abstract:

Moore Corp. saw its share value increase by over 10% after it was revealed that the firm would downsize its labor force and reduce costs. Moore is planning to implement cost reduction of C$100 million over the next 12 to 18 months.

WestJet plans daily flights between Calgary, Toronto
