Microsoft settles with AOL over Netscape

AOL Time Warner Inc. will receive $750 million from Microsoft Corp. as part of a settlement of a 16-month antitrust lawsuit. AOL had accused Microsoft of unfair competition practices related to a loss in market share for Netscape Navigator Internet browser.
