Article Abstract:

Relationships in which there is a large gap are still often regarded negatively by society. Research undertaken by the Australian Institute of Family Studies indicates that the age gap is closing, possibly because of the changing status of women. A smaller age gap indicates that women have gained a higher educational and financial status.
