The Americans began to understand the importance of nutrition and healthy living in the early 1900s. Many health spas, alternative therapies, discovery of vitamins, malt shops and many new fast food chains came into existence along with a philosophy of nutrition that emphasized organic farming, vegetarianism, and natural foods.

Article Abstract:

Veterans and their families protested on 3rd October 2003, after plans were announced to close the veterans hospital in Waco, Texas. A study revealed that 1.7 million uninsured veterans could not receive VA health care in 2003 as VA waiting lists could not afford VA co-payments for special care.

Teen driving

Article Abstract:

Nearly 7,900 teen drivers were involved in fatal accidents in the year 2003 in U.S. of which most of the victims were passengers, drivers, or pedestrians. A brief argument on issues like efficiency of driver education, limits on teen drivers, and eligibility of driving are presented.
