The hearings of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee revealed that the $12 billion in currency sent to Iraq by the U.S. between May 2003 and June 2004 are largely unaccounted for or are misspent. Democrats have accused the administration of indulging in waste and abuse of funds meant for rebuilding of Iraq.
