Plan B stalls

Article Abstract:

President Bush, has proposed severe funding cuts to federal family-planning programs, and executive-branch agencies, which have taken extraordinary steps to limit government, provided information on contraception, including simple barrier methods like condoms. It is concluded that, such legislations require insurers who provide prescription drug benefits to pay for contraceptives, as they only cover viagra, a drug that treats male impotence.

Bush signed into law in February 2006 the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA), which included significant provisions for boosting home-delivered care and the private long-term-care (LTC) insurance market. While the law is designed to help trim government LTC spending, it is not known to what extent it will reshape the LTC landscape.
