Political stalemate: the Pearson inquiry slings mud on both sides

Article Abstract:

Robert Nixon's month-long investigation into the deal to privatize two terminals of the Pearson International Airport found evidence that the deal would have been overly generous to developers at the expense of taxpayers. The deal was cancelled in Nov 1993, by the incoming Liberal government.

Toeing the party lines: Liberals and Tories split on the Pearson airport deal

Article Abstract:

A Canadian Senate committee released two reports on the 1993 Pearson International privatization deal. The report prepared by the Progressive Conservative Party found little fault with the deal. However, the Liberal Party report found evidence of corruption and influence peddling.
