Greg Martin, the managing director of energy company AGL, attempted to convince shareholders that a costly mistake made in the New Zealand electricity market would not be repeated. However, AGL is not abandoning its strategy of becoming a broad-based electricity and gas company. The company's expansion strategies are discussed in further detail.
