Manning maintains the same anti-establishment views he had when he arrived in Ottawa in 1993. However, the new Parliament finds his Reform Party with 60 seats and the role of Official Opposition. He says he will not soften or moderate his views to fit into the political mainstream.

John Munro's quest for redemption: Ottawa wants to settle the compensation case

Article Abstract:

Former Indian and Northern Affairs Minister John Munro has sued the federal government for $2 million, claiming that his reputation was damaged during the 1980s when the government investigated him on campaign finance charges. A judge dropped all charges against Munro in 1991.
