Reducing parenting stress in families with irritable infants

Article Abstract:

The effectiveness of a home-based nursing intervention is evaluated in reducing parenting stress with irritable infants through a data from a large evaluating study. It indicates reduction in total parenting stress over time and the overall effectiveness of the intervention program was difficult to evaluate because the nursing visits to the home were found to be useful and supportive.

Comparison of two measures of parent-child interaction

A comparative study is done between the Mother-Infant Communication Screening (MICS) and the Nursing Child Assessment Satellite Training (NCAST) and the Teaching Scale (NCAT) as a research measure, as assessment of parent-child interaction is a critical component of children's health and well-being.

SPSS and SAS programming for the testing of mediation models

Article Abstract:

A research was conducted to illustrate the utility of the Sobel test and to make this programming available to nursing research audience in both SAS and SPSS programs. The reports say that, mediation modeling is a useful tool for describing the relation between three or more variables.
