Reed unveils plan to revamp NYSE

Article Abstract:

John Reed, the interim chairman of New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), unveiled his plan to revamp the NYSE board. John has proposed a plan for a new board intended to improve regulation and stop conflicts for which he needs an approval by the exchange's 1,366 seat holders, shrinking from the existing 27 members to eight to twelve members who would have no direct ties to traders and brokers who do business on the exchange.

Sptizer sues Grasso to recover 'rigged' pay: Claims directors of NYSE were misled

Article Abstract:

New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) President Dick Grasso is sued by New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer to recover upto $100 million (U.S.). The civil lawsuit filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, follows a four-month probe by Mr. Spitzer's office, which determined that NYSE directors were misled about some of the key details of Mr. Grasso's $187.5 million package.
