GST police

Article Abstract:

The Australian Tax Office (ATO) will be visiting 286,000 taxpaying individuals and businesses annually to help them with their general services tax (GST) affairs. The ATO plans to open GST offices within 100 km of 80% of all businesses in the country. Field officers will be equipped with laptop computers and mobile phones to enable them to access the ATO's central system.
