S.E.C. Inquires Into Pension Accounting at Ford and G.M

The Securities and Exchange Commission is looking at the accounting methods used for pension funds and retirement benefits. They have asked General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Delphi Corp, as well as other companies, for documents used to calculate the value of pension plans.
