SR Telecom expects lower 1998 earnings

Article Abstract:

SR Telecom Inc., a Montreal, Quebec-based company that specializes in designing and manufacturing microwave and wireless telephone systems, has revised its revenue and earnings projection for 1998. The company, which previously projected to achieve earnings of 35 to 40 cents a share on revenues of around C$210 million, stated it now expects to report earnings of approximately 11 cents a share on revenues of around C$180 million. STR Telecom VP of corporate affairs, Mike Morris, attributed the lowered income projection to modifications in the financing deal for its C$42-million contract in Kenya and to delays in other transactions.
