Federal Express' rivals are prepared to lure away customers of the Memphis, TN, company, which is being threatened by a possible strike of its pilots. The FedEx Pilots Association union, is working to effect its first-ever contract with the company, bringing the possibility of a strike or a slowdown. The company promised that it can cope with a strike, although its would have to extend its international priority delivery commitments. FedEx could also expand its US ground network and use contract air carriers in the event of a pilot strike.

New software helps companies keep track of e-tickets

Article Abstract:

New software has been introduced that help businesses monitor electronic airline tickets, or e-tickets. The problem of unused, untracked and unrefunded tickets has been significantly made worse by electronic tickets, which can go unnoticed because there is no piece of paper to keep track of them. Some of the new software that tracks e-tickets and help corporate travel departments process a refund include eTrak from Trindent Development, Ticket Trax from American Express and InterPro's Airline Ticket Manager.
