The know aspects of reclusive writer Thomas Harris's personality belie the dark traits of an imagination that has produced one of this era's most frightening fictional criminals, Hannibal Lecter in the book "Silence of the Lambs." The book was made into a successful film. Thomas has written a sequel, "Hannibal," published in June 1999. Friends of Harris maintain he is a sociable, intelligent storyteller, who enjoys cooking and entertaining.

Most of the architects design a lot of details, Japan's architect Taniguchi says that he tries to conceal details. Taniguchi has been chosen to design the new, vastly expanded Museum of Modern Art, with his design's being termed as retro as well as radical.
