Short list of suitors expected for assets

Laidlaw Inc of Burlington, Ontario, has announced that several buyers are interested in acquiring its health care management assets and its 44% stake in waste firm Safety-Kleen Corp. Among the potential buyers of its industrial waste division are rival French conglomerates Vivendi SA and Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux SA, and Bramblwes Industries Ltd of Australia. Meanwhile, Ambulance firm Rural/Metro Corp has been reported to be interested in acquiring its health care management assets.
