Shutdown of P4W; women are being moved into men's prisons

Article Abstract:

The Correctional Services of Canada (CSC) confirmed that women prisoners will be sent to Kingston and Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, penitentiaries for men that house many sexual offenders. Although the women will be under staff escort at all times, they will be in sight and hearing of male prisoners.

Finnish-born Jukka-Pekka Saraste is entering his second season as the conductor of the troubled Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He recently negotiated a six-CD deal for the symphony with Finlandia Records and has helped reenergize the symphony's musicians and subscribers.
