Shutdown threats slam Paramount trust units

Clay Riddle, the chairman and chief executive officer of Paramount Energy Trust, has lost $91 million in share value of stock he owns in his company. Paramount, which is a producer of natural gas, may have many of its wells closed by government regulators.

Enbridge IPO to establish income trust

Calgary, Alb.-based Enbridge Inc. has announced plans for an initial public offering that will include a portion of its assets. Enbridge, which is the second largest pipeline operator in Canada, is expected to earn about $350 million in the deal.
